Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was made at Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actress director producer playwright educator as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching working and going to the rehearsals for her plays. Silk starred in numerous commercials for children. Silk graduated from St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk was a resident of Toronto in her quest to act and advance, then after that, she relocated to Los Angeles California. Silk met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training located in Los Angeles in 2007. They got married in December 2009 following a civil ceremony. They were married in Fredericton on the 10th of April in 2011they renewed their vows following her decision to convert to Judaism. Silk got a baby who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk was pregnant while filming the finale of the third season. She announced the pregnancy to the viewers in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on 6 January 2013. Silk was working on Lost Girl since the final season episode was first conceived on January 6 2013 on Twitter, announced her readiness to return on June 4, 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on the fourth. Silk's portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge online fan base on Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its success.
